Auditory, Tactile, Kinesthetic, and Psychological Imagery in the Poetry of Nida Fazli

This study explores the use of auditory, tactile, kinesthetic, and psychological imagery in the poetry of Nida Fazli, one of the most distinguished voices in modern Urdu literature. Through a qualitative textual analysis, the paper examines how these forms of imagery contribute to the aesthetic richness, emotional depth, and symbolic expression of his poetry. Nida Fazli employs sensory and psychological images to portray human emotions, social realities, memory, loneliness, love, and existential experiences with remarkable simplicity and artistic elegance. The study concludes that his masterful use of imagery strengthens the expressive power of his poetry and enhances readers’ emotional and intellectual engagement.
