This article considers how works such as Severance by Ling Ma, The Plague by Albert Camus, and Zone One by Colson Whitehead serve not only as dystopian or allegorical texts but also as pedagogical instruments capable of informing ethical reasoning, emotional resilience, and socio-political awareness. These narratives reflect a deep engagement with individual and collective experiences of crisis, loss, adaptation, and moral ambiguity [1]. Positioned at the intersection of narrative ethics, trauma theory, and classroom pedagogy, pandemic fiction provokes a series of urgent questions: How do stories help readers emotionally process prolonged or large-scale disruptions? What kinds of moral and psychological complexities do they uncover about survival, care, grief, and communal responsibility?
