The Spirit of Resistance in the Poetry of Faiz Ahmed Faiz: A Critical and Analytical Study
Faiz Ahmed Faiz is one of the most influential poets of modern Urdu literature, renowned for his revolutionary vision and commitment to social justice. This study critically examines the spirit of resistance in Faiz’s poetry by exploring themes of political oppression, freedom, human dignity, equality, and hope. Using a qualitative textual analysis, the paper investigates how Faiz employs symbolism, metaphor, and lyrical expression to challenge injustice and inspire collective consciousness. His poetry transcends political boundaries by advocating universal human values and resistance against all forms of exploitation. The study concludes that Faiz’s poetic voice remains a timeless symbol of resilience, justice, and social transformation.
